Community Foster Application

Help foster a stray cat with One Love

Every day, we get many inquiries from people asking us to take in new animals and while we wish we had enough space for all of them, we simply don’t. When our existing foster homes are full, we rely on the support of the community to continue helping animals in need.

Do you have an animal that you would like help rehoming but are able to continue to foster in your home until placement is found? If so, One Love is happy to help support you through the rehoming process as long as you are able to continue to foster.

Please complete the brief application below and a One Love representative will be in touch with you to discuss next steps. Acceptance into the community foster program is not confirmed until you have submitted an application and been contacted by a One Love representative.

1. I am making a commitment to provide love, safety, and care for the animal(s) I am placing through One Love Animal Rescue and Sanctuary (One Love) until they are adopted into permanent homes. I understand that this may take many months and sometimes longer, depending on the age and demeanor of the animal.

2. If you are unable to continue to foster before an alternative home has been found by One Love, One Love will not be able to transfer the animal into an alternative foster home and you will remain responsible for the ethical placement of this animal.

3. I understand that that One Love Animal Rescue and Sanctuary is not assuming ownership of this animal and is only able to provide rehoming assistance as long as you are able to foster. Once placement is found, a formal animal surrender agreement will need to be completed in order for One Love to take possession of the animal and facilitate its required pre-adoption preventative medical treatment and successful rehoming.
